Amdal In-Home Care is non-medical in nature. You know it as custodial care. There is no agreed-upon term to designate our type of service. What we do is provide one-on-one assisted living in the client’s own home environment, wherever that may be. Recently, there has been a rapid growth in the number of companies providing caregivers in the home. Many of these are franchise operations, or “contractors” who may not provide tax withholding or liability and workers comp insurance, all important considerations for your patients’ protection. The patient is responsible in these situations.
Unlike a home-health agency, there is no utilization review or state oversight of in-home care services. This means that standards for care, caregiver training and screening, and quality of care can vary widely from agency to agency. In short, some agencies are better than others. At Amdal In-Home Care, we understand that how we handle your referrals can reflect directly on you. We’ll work hard to develop your trust in our agency. We strive to be responsible and professional.
