Amdal In-Home Care includes the family in our care approach. Each situation is different. To the degree that the family desires and is able to be involved with our services, we strive to accommodate the family. Sometimes we work exclusively with the client. More often, our primary contact is a close family member. We work with family in developing a plan of care that meets the current needs of the client.
Just as important is developing care that affords the primary family caregivers a much needed break. We are there to alleviate the burden of family care providers, who often have for some time neglected other important aspects of their own lives to provide care.
When we begin service, we ask the family to designate a person or persons to be our key contacts in several different areas:
Care Issue Contact(s): If there are questions about care, changes of condition, needs changes, etc.
Scheduling Contact(s): With whom do we discuss scheduling related issues?
Billing/Financial Contact: With whom do we discuss bills, insurance, etc.?
These could all be one person, or different people. They could be the client him/herself, or a spouse or child. Sometimes they are not family members at all. Whomever they may be, Amdal In-Home Care approach is to involve and communicate with all concerned parties to foster a safe and healthful environment for the client and their care delivery.
